Sizing Information:   Here's how to determine the correct backpack size.   To choose the right backpack you'll need to know the length of your torso.  Measuring your torso isn't that tough.  First locate your seventh cervical vertebrae, its the first prominent vertebrae you'll feel as you run a finger down your spine from the base of your skull.   Then locate the point on your spine at the same level as the crest of the hip bone. The crest is the point at which the hip bone can be felt at the side sticking out.  While standing with your hands hanging down, have someone measure your spine between the two points.   Use a cloth ruler so you can measure along the contours of your spine (a metal ruler would measure only the vertical distance between the two points).
